Ernesto Pagulayan III serves as President and C.E.O. of Moderno Inc. He has over 10 years' experience in government contracting and project management.
He earned his Master’s Degree in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Emilio Aguinaldo College in the Philippines.
He is a graduate of Purdue University's Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities where he learned from various prestigious entrepreneurs and successful business leaders how to start, maintain, and grow a business.
He served for 10 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy and currently serving as a Logistics Officer in the California Army National Guard.
Most recently, he deployed with his National Guard unit to Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan Shield and Operation Inherent Resolve where he spent 11 months as the Company Executive Officer of over 70 Soldiers that supported various combat logistical mission within CENTCOM.
In early 2018, he took Company Command of a Headquarters and Headquarters Company in Los Angeles area and have been promoted to the rank of Captain in the California Army National Guard.
His supervisory positions in the administrative, operational, technological, and fiscal areas have afforded him the skills, experience, and talents necessary to lead Moderno Inc.
Michael Palma serves as the Vice President and Senior Project Manager for Moderno Inc.
He received a B.S. degree in Landscape Design from San Diego State University and has over 28 years experience in residential and commercial landscape design, maintenance and construction.
Michael has extensive experience in maintaining, designing, and installing irrigation systems as well as accurate application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. He currently hold an active Qualified Applicators License (QAL).
Michael plans and control inventory levels for each projects, conducts staff meetings to review problem areas and provides solutions, provide estimates, and prepare contract documents in accordance with job specifications. He performs multiple duties as project manager, estimator, negotiator, administrator and coordinator in the course of successful award, quality oriented, and safe completion of projects.
Michael recently left his position as a Logistics Officer in the California Army National Guard to pursue more opportunities for Moderno. His talent and skills as a Landscape Designer brings Moderno above over its competitors in cemetery grounds maintenance and services.
